Service overview

Discreet infidelity investigations for
clarity and closure.

Living with suspicion about a partner's fidelity is one of the most emotionally exhausting experiences a person can endure. You deserve the truth, and the ability to make informed decisions about your life.

Stirling Investigations conducts discreet, professional infidelity investigations using covert surveillance, digital footprint analysis and background verification. We document movements, meetings and activities through timestamped photography and video. Our reports provide clear, factual evidence, free from ambiguity or speculation. Whether the findings confirm your concerns or give you the reassurance you were hoping for, you will have the clarity you need to move forward.

Important: in Australia, infidelity evidence cannot be used as grounds in divorce proceedings. It can be relevant to financial settlement negotiations and custody arrangements, and most clients simply need the truth to make the right decision for themselves and their family.

Who this is for

Is this service right for you?

If any of these sound familiar, a short confidential conversation will tell you whether an investigation can help, and what it would involve.

  • The questioning partner. Something has changed. Unexplained absences, a guarded phone, distance. You need to know the truth before you can decide what comes next.
  • The protective parent. You are concerned about your partner's behaviour and how it may affect your children, your home and your future. Evidence informs custody and settlement decisions.
  • The high-net-worth individual. With significant assets at stake, you need verifiable documentation before entering separation negotiations. Knowledge is protection.

Case study

Real results. Real clients.

Infidelity investigation case study, Sydney

Claire, a 47-year-old Sydney professional, had noticed unexplained absences and significant changes in her husband's behaviour over several months. After a four-day surveillance operation during his claimed "work functions", our investigators documented repeated meetings with a third party at a city hotel.

The timestamped photographic evidence gave Claire the clarity she needed to consult her lawyer and begin separation proceedings, with full confidence in her decision and a clear picture of the financial implications.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Is it legal to investigate my partner?

Surveillance of individuals in public spaces is legal in Australia when conducted by a licensed investigator. We operate within all applicable laws and will advise you immediately if any request falls outside legal parameters.

How discreet is your investigation?

Extremely. We use unmarked vehicles, plain-clothes investigators, and maintain strict information security. Your case is known only to those directly working on it. We will never approach the subject or reveal your identity.

What if I'm wrong?

That outcome is more common than people expect, and it's a valid and valuable result. If our investigation finds no evidence of infidelity, we document that clearly, giving you confidence that your concerns were unfounded. Many clients find this the most important outcome of all.

How long does an infidelity investigation take?

Most investigations run 2 to 5 days of surveillance across key activity windows. Complex cases may require longer. We advise the most targeted approach to minimise cost and maximise results.

Do I need to tell my lawyer?

We recommend speaking with a family lawyer before and after the investigation if separation or custody is likely. We can provide referrals to specialist family law firms. Our reports are written to evidentiary standards.

Can infidelity evidence be used in Australian divorce proceedings?

No. Australia operates a no-fault divorce system, so infidelity is not a ground for divorce. However, evidence of a partner's behaviour can be relevant to financial settlements (particularly where marital funds were used on a third party) and to custody proceedings where the behaviour affects child welfare.
